Gestational Diabetes
Gestational diabetes affects about 4% of all pregnant women -
about 135,000 cases in the United States each year. Gestational
diabetes occurs late in pregnancy (usually around 28 weeks) and,
if not treated properly, can be harmful to the baby and mother.

Pre-diabetes
Pre-diabetes is a condition that occurs when a person's blood glucose
levels are higher than normal but not high enough for a diagnosis of
type 2 diabetes. It is estimated that at least 41 million Americans have
pre-diabetes, in addition to the more than 20 million already diagnosed
with diabetes.
