Taking charge of your diabetes is a key part of working with
your health care team. Your health care team may include your
primary care doctor, nursing staff, physician assistant, specialist,
or pharmacist.
A member of your health care team may also be a Certified Diabetes Educator
— a person with special education and training to help you learn self-management
